Back in October I had the honor of working on this wedding for my good friend Matt Wetzler of ThewMatt Photography at the Georgetown Event Center in Georgetown, TX. It was a DIY wedding dream, full of fun details, and wonderful ideas. I absolutely loved being part of their wedding day! Here are some of my favorites from this lovely event. My oldest has never been a “painter.” He likes to play with paint, or “do paint work” as he calls it. But, it is never your traditional paint onto paper kind of painting. He likes to mix colors and pour. He also likes to paint on the acrylic easel as long as it doesn’t have paper. He has had some beautiful creations on that easel that will never see the light of day. The youngest is all over the painting. He loves the brushes, loves to apply paint and color, and likes to make a giant mess. Anyway, I took these while the boys were working away. Love my boys.
I love this first little black and white series, they crack me up.

After an amazing year of photography fun I have decided to have my first ever photo of the year social media contest. More details later but until then, as I am doing my research I am going to post the nominations.
This little love comes from early in January. It is hard to believe that this little newborn baby is now over 10 months old (she’ll have another session featured). There were so many favorites from this group that I had trouble picking. This photo didn’t actually stand out to me the first time, but in retrospect I love it. I love the soft window light, the swaddled baby, and the proud parents. It just captures that new parents feeling. Ah, special times. In case you missed it, check out the entire session here.

The weather was perfect, the venue was absolutely gorgeous, and you could just feel the love and excitement in the air. Elizabeth & Carson’s wedding was fun, simple, laid back, and very elegant. I had a blast working with the pair and their amazing friends and family. Congrats! It was a beautiful, beautiful day. Pardon the EXTREMELY long post, I just can’t help myself- I want to show the day start to finish. A special thanks to the talented Matt Wetzler for shooting with me on this gorgeous day!
